My mother found this recipe years ago and started making them for Christmas. Only, she made them as mini-cupcakes. (Makes about 60+). They have always received compliments and are a nice addition to the rest of the cookies we make. However, I do agree… only need about 1/2 of the cream cheese mixture.
must have done some thing wrong. cream cheese mixture did not stay on top. sank to bottom and bottom was not cooked and mixed with cake mix.

Just nope. This recipe creates cupcakes that are mushy and fall apart at the same time. Yes, I tried it more than once. I know how to read and follow instructions exactly. I don’t understand the positive reviews of this. I’ll find a different recipe elsewhere.

I actually made this recipe just how it’s written. Pile on that cream cheese on top, and I filled my muffin tins full. Baked for about 27 minutes. They were so perfect! Absolutely great recipe.
