Instructions: Heavenly Halibut Recipes
Step 1: Set an oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler. Grease a rimmed baking sheet; place halibut fillets on the sheet.
Step 2: Broil in the preheated oven until fish flakes easily with a fork, about 8 minutes.
Step 3: Meanwhile, mix Parmesan cheese, butter, mayonnaise, green onions, lemon juice, salt, and hot pepper sauce in a bowl.
Step 4: Remove fillets from the oven; spread Parmesan mixture over top. Return to the oven and broil until topping is bubbly and lightly browned, about 2 more minutes.
It’s my new favorite halibut recipe. So fast and easy and tasty! I forgot to add the butter as it was softening in the microwave and I was distracted by life. It came out great and was more heart healthy! Yum!
I ahould have read the reviews first. Im aure the sauce is good but broiling halibut is not right. I did it and it was hard and burnt on the outside and not cooked at all on the inside (no big surprise i guess). I should have followed the many reviewers who said 400 for 20 (or something other than broil).
To enhance the flavor, I added a few crushed red pepper flakes. Next time I will cut back on the butter. This is rarity; a recipe that is easy and totally delicious.
Amazing!
This recipe was delicious and so quick and easy! Followed the steps exactly and made as listed, maybe added a tad bit too much hot sauce, but it made for great flavor and slightly spicy. Will definitely save and make again!
Loved it! Added extra Parmesan, skipped the butter, 2 dashes of hot pepper sauce, and fresh chives instead of green onions. My husband says it’s “guest worthy” ?. Will never have halibut any other way now, thanks for the recipe ?
Great recipe. I added a bit more green onion and lemon juice and salted and peppered the fish, I used tilapia. I baked the fish at 400 degrees for 20 minutes and then broiled for a few minutes for the cheese to melt and crisp on the edges. Everyone enjoyed it!
Easy and delicious. My family loved it.
Really enjoyed it! Tweaked the recipe a bit and added some Cracked Black Pepper and added a little extra Parm to the baste.
