Love this simple recipe that doesn't involve making a pot roast. I like sliced beef on mine, and am not looking for a pot roast sandwich. We have a store who makes real roast beefs and slices them in the deli, and you can have the doneness to your preference based on how they slice it.I like caramelized onions, swiss, and horseradish on mine. This is great as is, or with your favorite additions!
I dont use consomme I use A Ju but otherwise this is great! Fast and delicious
This is my go to recipe. So quick and simple. I like to use when I have left over roast beef that has been cooked in an oven with lots of garlic slices stuffed in the meat. The cooked garlic adds additional flavor.I use Better Than Bouillon (roasted beef base) for my consommé. That way I can adjust the flavor of the consommé to our liking.
Simple and yummy when made as directed. To the "Allrecipes Member" who stated it was terrible because of the hot peppers and ranch, um, that's not even called for in the recipe so no wonder you didn't like it. I would suggest you give it a try as the recipe is written. You'll most likely enjoy it!
The directions are perfect!!! YUM
Loved this recipe. I prepared it exactly the way it is and it was quick easy and delicious!!
My husband and two young boys loved it. I love it when recipes work out!
So easy and delicious! Paired them with Chef John's Cream of Mushroom soup. Perfect combo!
I did not care for this recipe at all. The hot peppers and juice and Ranch dressing absolutely overwhelmed any taste of beef. French Dip sandwiches don't need the heat of hot peppers or Ranch seasoning! I threw it in the garbage. A very costly mistake making this just as the recipe said.
