Three Bean Salad is a vibrant and nutritious dish that combines the hearty flavors of three different beans – typically green beans, kidney beans, and garbanzo beans. These beans are marinated in a zesty dressing made with a blend of vinegar, sugar, and oil, creating a perfect balance of tanginess and sweetness. The addition of finely chopped red onions and fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro enhances the overall freshness and crunch. This versatile salad is not only delicious but also a great side dish for picnics, barbecues, or a wholesome addition to your daily meals.

We love this bean salad! I make it exactly as is in the recipe. except I use red onion to enhance the color. Sometimes, I add an extra bean because my sister likes 4-bean salad. Other than that, I get requests for it all the time. It reminds me of the bean salad my mom made when I was a kid from the 1950s on.
just like mother made! 50s 60s most likely a betty Crocker recipe. takes me back.
Awesome! I doubled the recipe and still only use a 1/4 cup of sugar. It came out perfect
It was amazing. My Mom who is a critic not only gave me a thumbs up but said it was one of the best if not the best she's had., and that says a lot. Thanks for the Recipe :)
This a great recipe with room to change or improvise. My store didn’t have fresh was beans so I used canned along with a can of kidney and bought a pound of fresh green beans instead. I added green pepper. I agreed with other viewers that 3/4 cup sugar would be too sweet and used barely 1/4 cup. I also used EVOO as that is what I prefer.
I've made this recipe a few times, the only thing I've ever changed was the type of beans. I add chickpeas, black beans, a long with the ones in this recipe. Summer is coming and this is the perfect salad. No mayo so I don't need to worry about it spoiling in the sun.Thank you for this recipe.Sincerely,Paulia....
perfect! simple and easy to make. I cut down on the sugar 1/3 cup is good.
Taste just like my mom's
Simple, easy and delicious. I mixed beans first, then remaining ingredients into a salad dressing. Added to beans, stir, chill overnight. Had all ingredients on hand :)
