Citrusy Elegance with Oranges:
The star of this salad is the juicy and vibrant oranges. Select ripe, sweet oranges, peel and segment them for a burst of citrusy goodness. The refreshing and slightly tart flavor of oranges adds a lively and invigorating element to the mix.
Nutty Crunch of Walnuts:
Elevate the texture with the addition of crunchy walnuts. Toasted to perfection, these nuts bring a delightful nuttiness and a satisfying crunch to every bite. Their earthy undertones complement the citrusy and creamy elements of the salad.
Bold Creaminess of Gorgonzola:
Introduce a layer of bold creaminess with crumbled Gorgonzola cheese. The tangy and robust flavor of Gorgonzola adds depth, creating a perfect balance with the sweetness of oranges and the crunch of walnuts. Use Gorgonzola dolce for a milder taste or piccante for a more intense flavor.
Wholesome Mixed Greens Base:
Create a nutritious foundation with a medley of mixed greens. Choose a combination of arugula, spinach, and other leafy greens to provide a variety of textures and flavors. The greens offer a nutrient-rich canvas that complements the vibrant components of the salad.
Fresh Citrus Vinaigrette:
The key to tying these elements together is the Fresh Citrus Vinaigrette. Combine freshly squeezed citrus juices, such as orange and lemon, with extra virgin olive oil, a hint of honey, Dijon mustard, and salt. This zesty dressing enhances the overall taste, bringing a burst of citrusy brightness to the salad.

Feel free to customize your Orange, Walnut, Gorgonzola, and Mixed Greens Salad by adding sliced red onions, avocado, or dried cranberries for extra layers of flavor and texture. These additions contribute to the salad’s complexity, making it a versatile and satisfying dish.

Feedback of Orange, Walnut, Gorgonzola and Mixed Greens Salad with Fresh Citrus Vinaigrette Recipes
Very good tangy salad.
It is so bright and refreshing. I left out the walnuts only because I forgot them and I have braces so don’t feel like taking a chance anyway. I also didn’t add the full amount of sugar (about half of it) since the OJ has sugar in it. Yummm! Will make this again.
Beautiful salad!
This was a wonderful salad. I had no walnuts (which I don't care for, anyway!) so subbed in sliced almonds, toasted. The first time I made it was for a potluck, so couldn't plate it as directed. That was a mistake, b/c the balsamic made the whole thing an unpleasant color. Second time I did it as directed, and it was beautiful.
a hit amonst great friends!!!
I used 1/2 Jalapeño Olive Oil, 1/2 regular Olive Oil. Gave it a real pop of flavor. Otherwise followed the recipe. I love this recipe and will make it again!
Everyone loved it! Slight alterations on the sugar and OJ quantities, but my hardest sell at dinner time said, “Very good!” so We out...
delicious salad with nice mix of flavors. took it to a covered dish dinner and it was all gone. apply the dressing just before serving.
Really good recipe. I used spinach and romaine lettuce with pink grapefruit, blood red oranges and mandarin oranges. Did not use any cheese. I made this for my cooking group and they loved it
