I made it as shown. Very unhappy. Good burgers never have breadcrumbs and egg. This recipe is halfway to meatloaf.
The recipe is great, but I added 1/2 Teaspoon of garlic and onion power.
Recipe was simple and tasted great, my new go to when making burgers. May try adding shredded cheese and/or bacon ?
It's good as written. Tonight I tripled everything because we had a barbecue at our house. 3 pounds of beef, 3 eggs, 1.5 cups of bread crumbs, etc. If I had it to do over, I would've gone with 4 eggs and 1 cup of bread crumbs for the tripled recipe. It was fine, but a little too "bready" if that makes sense. Still, a very good starting point for some barbecued hamburgers.
This burger was SO DELISH and to add more flavor I recommend raw onion!
My child is a picky eater especially when it comes to meat. This was a winning recipe and got a "oh this is good" from my child. We made these a sliders on small buns and they were delicious.
This isn't a burger it's meatloaf. It's a decent meatloaf sandwich but not a burger.
Exactly as advertised. But it does need to be jazzed up to reach greatness.
I think the bread crumbs was too much, 1/4 I think would have been better I took the flavor of the meat away
