I've made this many times. I cut the sugar back in the dressing to 3 Tbsp's which gave it a wonderful contrast of sweet and sharp. I also used blanched sliced almonds and candied them to add the sweetness missing in the dressing and a little crunch to the salad. Rave reviews from co-workers and family.
I made this for Bookclub and everyone loved it and asked for the recipe. I used a full 16 oz. container of spinach and the dressing covered it completely. Loved it.
Loved it!
Easy ! The dressing was fabulous!
Was too sweet. Next time I will reduce the amount of sugar, but otherwise it was delicious!
The salad I've had it before and like it, but the dressing it's just perfect. I follow the recipe to the dot, except that I omitted the onions. The dressing was loved by everyone, including my hard to please hubby. Recommend it!After reading some comments, i need to add that for salads, you need to use fresh ingredients. Using frozen fruit or veggies will add an extra moist that will ruin the meal. I washed and clean the strawberries, let them dried on a paper towel and I put them in the salad just minutes before serving it.
I loved this recipe. I committed the cardinal sin of changing some of the recipe, but that tells me that the recipe is very forgiving. I cut back the sugar and oil in the dressing, added canned mandarin oranges, thinly sliced red onion, blue cheese, and honey roasted nuts. Thanks to everyone who contributed to making this a great recipe.
The dressing was perfect light and tasty I will use this on alot of my recipies for the salad, I used spinich, strawberries, red onions, walnuts. Very delisious! I am going to make this tomorrow but use spinich,Boild eggs, Bacon and the poppyseed dressing. I might use my FoodiGrill and ad chicken to the recipie 5*****
I made this for a potluck…it was said it was the best dish at the event. I cut the sugar in half and used balsamic vinegar. Delish!
