Crunchy Ramen Cabbage Salad is a textural symphony that combines the crispness of cabbage with the crunch of ramen noodles. Begin by shredding green and purple cabbage for a vibrant base. The star of the show is the addition of crushed ramen noodles, providing a unique and delightful crunch.
In a skillet, toast the ramen noodles with a bit of oil until golden brown, enhancing their nutty flavor. Let them cool before incorporating them into the cabbage mix. Add thinly sliced green onions for a mild onion kick and a burst of color.
For added crunch and nuttiness, toss in toasted sesame seeds and slivered almonds. These elements contribute not only to the texture but also introduce a rich, savory note to the salad.
Create a savory and slightly sweet dressing by combining soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and a touch of honey. This Asian-inspired dressing ties the elements together, offering a perfect balance of flavors.
Gently toss the Crunchy Ramen Cabbage Salad with the dressing, ensuring an even coating. Allow it to chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the noodles to absorb the dressing.
Serve this delightful salad as a refreshing side dish or a light meal. Its playful combination of textures and savory-sweet flavors makes it a hit at gatherings, picnics, or as an inventive addition to your regular menu. Enjoy the satisfying crunch in every bite of this unique ramen cabbage creation.

Delicious, fresh and tasty!! Added diced water chestnuts and scallions
Delicious, loved the crunch. I don't like sweet stuff and didn't think this was, though other reviewers did.
So delicious and easy to make!
Perfect as printed. I did not have ramen noodles on hand, so used TJ's Squiggly Knife Cut Noodles which took a few hours to soften, but great nonetheless. Definitely a hit!
Chinese Cole slaw too oily might be good without the dry noodles
I make this a lot and add roasted chicken! Even the guys at our tailgate love it and they don’t typically eat salad 😊
My recommendation is to MAKE AS DIRECTED, with minor exceptions. We didn’t, based on reviews, and regretted it. Our reasons? It needs the sugar and olive oil for full flavor.Easier version is to use a bag of cabbage slaw. We did use more SEASONED Rice Wine Vinegar and soy sauce instead of salt.We also toasted the noodles as well as sesame seeds. Easier to do in a pan to avoid burning. It would be better made ahead, setting aside noodles and seeds and tossing at last minute before serving.GOOD ADD ONS, makes a complete meal:Green onionsWater chestnutsToasted slivered almondsMandarin orangesGrilled chicken breast
Really good! Very refreshing and easy to make. Like others, I added the ramen about 10 minutes before serving. I also toasted some sliced almonds and added those.
Neither of us liked it & I won't be making this again.
