Elevate your dinner with the savory-sweet delight of Applesauce Pork Chops. Begin by seasoning thick-cut pork chops with a blend of salt, pepper, and a hint of garlic powder for a robust flavor base.
In a hot skillet, sear the pork chops until golden brown on each side, locking in juices and creating a delectable crust. The key to this recipe lies in the luscious applesauce glaze that follows.
Prepare a glaze by combining applesauce, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and a touch of apple cider vinegar in a bowl. This harmonious blend balances the natural sweetness of applesauce with a subtle tanginess, creating a versatile glaze that complements the savory pork perfectly.
Brush the glaze generously over the seared pork chops, ensuring each piece is coated with the flavorful mixture. Transfer the skillet to the oven to finish cooking the pork to tender perfection while allowing the glaze to caramelize.
As the Applesauce Pork Chops bake, your kitchen will be filled with enticing aromas, promising a mouthwatering meal. Once done, let the pork chops rest for a few minutes to seal in the juices, then serve with a spoonful of the remaining glaze for an extra burst of flavor.
This recipe offers a delightful fusion of savory and sweet, creating a memorable dining experience that’s both comforting and gourmet. Applesauce Pork Chops are a perfect choice for a weeknight dinner that feels special or for entertaining guests with a dish that showcases the delicious versatility of applesauce in savory cooking.

I cut the 4-pork chops up as my wife has difficulty chewing. I also used 2-apples and 1 1/2 cups of apple sauce and doubled the spices.Made it a second time and it is great.
I loved this recipe and it went great with sweet potatoes . It was an easy and delicious fall supper.
Very good flavor. I think the boneless pork chops I used would have been more tender with marinating, but that's not a recipe issue. I had to use Dijon mustard because there was no dry mustard in the house I was visiting, but it seemed to work out OK. Great taste of fall in a simple recipe.
Loved it! I did make two boneless pork chops, but ate one before I sat down to do this review. That’s why there’s only one pork chop in the pan. I followed the recipe for the most part, but added a tablespoon of barbecue sauce, as suggested by another reviewer. I also added a dash of teriyaki sauce. I only had cinnamon applesauce, but don’t think that changed the taste very much. Didn’t have mustard powder, so I left it out. I always like applesauce when I have pork chops but the apples and the sauce in this recipe definitely enhanced the flavor. I seasoned the pork chops with salt pepper and a little garlic powder before browning them. I am adding this to my recipe collection and will definitely be making it again.
I have made this two times and it has turned out to be a weekly recipe. It’s a straight forward recipe, which also makes it easier to cook.Tammy A
Cooked 1" boneless pork chops according to the recipe except reduced oven time to 20 minutes. Brown them for a minute or two on high. Otherwise the pork chops will be cooked before they go into the oven. The pork chops were perfectly cooked, juicy, and tender. For the apples we used Granny Smith apples and they were perfect for this dish.
For my family, we would like it a little spicier.Going to try that next time.
Tasty and simple to make. I sometimes like to sub pears for the apples.
After reading all the ingredients I felt the need to change a few things. Less sugar, more mustard, less applesauce and shorter cooking time. "Searing" is always a challenge with pork and I did it for a longer time than necessary. Because of that I shortened the cooking time to 20 minutes (no need for chops to cook for 40 minutes at 375). They came out nice not dry but a tad tough. Hubby loved it. Served in with a cabbage/apple/onion side.
